New Karachi performing better than other towns: Afaq Saeed

KARACHI: Administrator New Karachi Town, Afaq Saeed has said that New Karachi Town Office is working smoothly and abiding all the laws set by City District Government Karachi (CDGK) and it is a false rumor that Town Office is appointing staff by using illegal means. While talking to daily National in a informal meeting with journalists he said that the news regarding illegal appointments of staff in Town Office is based on false facts. He further added that New Karachi Town is leading by its performance and there are no illegal activities whether it is regarding development work or administrative issues. He said that though town office has insufficient funds but still the administration continued its activities by abiding all the laws set by Govt. of Sindh and CDGK. He indicated that some of the newspapers has spread the news of illegal activities including appointments of staff and town administration is involved in it. Afaq Saeed confirmed that administration has not appointed a single staff since last 3 years and moreover, administration is working restlessly to improve the performance of Department of Recovery to make the financial conditions so that we can serve the residents of town by providing better healthy environment, smooth/wide roads and better sanitary conditions. He added that town administration is facing problems of insufficient funds since last three years but still our performance is far better than other 18 towns of Karachi.
