KARACHI:  The DMC central Chairman on Thursday held a meeting to review the cleaning of storm water drains during the monsoon rains as predicted by the met office.

Chairman was informed the superintending Engineer in our area there are about storm water drains in around 40 kilometer area.

The big nullahs are GujjarNullahs, OrangiNullah and others.

Hashmi was informed that these nullahs are being cleaned before the monsoon rain with the help of heavy machineries included excavators and showel as well as heavy machinery.

Chairman was informed that they area already short of heavy machinery was asking help from KMC to assist them.

The DC central Asif jan Siddiqi was also present in the meeting and assured for all out cooperation.

DMC central chairman claimed that the biggest hurdle in cleaning the drains are encroachments and the area people throw the garbage in nullahs .

کراچی ( ) محکمہء موسمیات کی جانب سے کراچی میں آئندہ چند روز میں مون سون بارشوں کے شروع ہونے کے پیشِ نظر بلدیہ عالیہ کراچی وسطی کے مرکزی آفس واقع لیاقت آباد میں چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی کی صدارت میں اہم اجلاس کا انعقاد ہوا۔ ڈپٹی کمشنر سینٹرل آصف جان صدیقی کی خصوصی شرکت ۔ ضلعی انتظامیہ کی جانب سے بھرپورتعاون کی یقین دہانی ۔اجلاس میں سپریٹنڈنگ انجینئر بلدیہ وسطی، ڈائریکٹر سینی ٹیشن،ڈائریکٹر ایڈمن، ڈائریکٹر موٹر وہیکل، ڈائریکٹر اینٹی انکروچمنٹ سینٹرل،چاروں زونز کے xens بلڈنگ و روڈز،xen مکینکل اینڈ الیکٹریکل و دیگر متعلقہ محکموں کے سربراہوں شرکت کی ۔ اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے .چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے کہا کہ کراچی کی عوام بارش کو ترستے ہیں اور بارشوں کے لئے سب لوگ دُعاکررہے ہیں لیکن ہماری ذراسی کوتاہی بارش کو رحمت سے زحمت بناسکتی ہے۔اسلئے فوری طور پر برساتی نالوں کو صاف کرنا اور برساتی پانی گزرنے کے قابل بنائے رکھنا ضروری ہے ۔ جبکہ سیوریج لائنوں کا ورکنگ کنڈیشن میں ہونا نہایت ضرور ی ہے ورنہ گنداپانی بارش کے پانی کے ساتھ مل گیا تو سارے ضلع میں گندگی اور تعفّن پھیل جانے کااندیشہ ہے۔ انہوں نے کراچی واٹر و سیوریج بورڈ کے ذمہ داران سے کہا کہ وہ بارشوں سے قبل سیورئج سسٹم کو بہتر کرلیں تاکہ دوران برسات عوام کو سیوریج کے مسائل کا سامنا نہ کرنا پڑے ۔دوسری جانب برساتی نالوں پر قائم ناجائز تجاوزات بھی نالوں کی کارکردگی کو متاثر کرتے ہیں۔ کیونکہ لوگ اپنے گھروں اور کاروبار کا کوڑا کرکٹ نالوں میں ڈالتے ہیں جس کی وجہ سے برساتی نالے کوڑے کے ڈھیر بنتے جارہے ہیں ۔اسلئے ضروری ہے کہ برساتی نالوں پر قائم ناجائز تجاوزات کو ختم کیاجائے ۔ اس موقع پر سپریٹنڈنگ انجینئر نے بتایا کہ بلدیہ وسطی کے دستیاب وسائل کو بروئے کار لاتے ہوئے مون سون کی بارشوں سے پہلے ہی برساتی نالوں کوصاف کرنے کا لائحہ عمل تیار کر چکے ہیں۔ سپریٹنڈنگ انجینئر نے بتایا کہ مشینری کی کمی کی وجہ سے KMC سے ہیوی مشینری کی مدد طلب کی گئی ہے واضح رہے کہ بلدیہ وسطی میں قائم چھوٹے بڑے برساتی نالوں کی طوالت تقریباّ 124 کلومیٹر ہے جبکہ گجر نالہ ،اورنگی نالہ اور لیاری ندی بھی ضلع وسطی کی حدود سے گزرتے ہیں ۔ ضلع وسطی سے سیوریج لائنوں کا پانی اِن ہی نالوں میں گِرتا ہے جو اس پانی کو گجر نالے کے ذریعے لیاری ملیر ندی تک پہنچاتے ہیں۔ تاہم بارشوں کے پیشِ نظر بلدیہ وسطی کی انتظامیہ کو نالوں کی صفائی اوّلین ترجیح دینی ہوگی جبکہ ایسے درختوں کو کٹوانا ہوگا کہ جن کا آندھی یا تیز ہواکے سبب گرجانے کا خدشہ ہو۔

KARACHI: The Chairman DMC Central Rehan Hashmi has said at EidulFitr cleanliness of Eid Gahs and Imabargaghs was being given top priority and all kind of facilities will be provided at all the congregations held at Eid Gahs where Eid prayers will be offered.

He said this while talking to media after presiding a meeting to review the arrangements of EidulFitr.

The sanitary staff has been deployed at Nazmabad No 3 EidGah, T ground at Federal B area, Farooq Azam Masjid North Nazimabad , and eidGahs in New Karachi .Chairman is in touch with the  Imam Ulemas and administration  of these places to resolve their problems in time.
However Hashmi said he was in touch with KWSB to facilitate his area people in connection with drinking water.

Hashmi said he has also summoned all kundi men to be deployed in sensitive parts so that people may not face problems on roads.

District central was facilitating the area people despite financial constraints.

Hashmi said he was also keeping a close liaison with K electric and requested not to resort to load shedding on EidulFitr as it might create law and order problem .

The garbage vehicles numbering to around 20 have been deployed to lift the garbage and also urged the citizens not to throw garbage on streets.

The KWSB has also been requested to tap the leakages in sewerage and water lines.

A complete contingency plan has been chalked out t clean the area before chandraat .

The holidays of sanitary staff have been cancelled and lime stone is being sprinkled all around Eid Gahs and Imambargahs .

He said district central was also making sweeping arrangements at night special cleaning arrangements have been at night around all trade centers. 

کراچی ( ) بلدیہ وسطی میں عیدالفطر کے موقع پر صفائی ستھرائی کے معاملات کے حتمی شکل دے دی گئی ہے، بلدیہ وسطی کے 100 سے زائد کچرا اٹھانے والی گاڑیاں اور افرادی قوت چاروں زونز سے کوڑا کرکٹ منتقل کرنے میں مصروف ہیں۔عیدالفطر کو عوام کو صاف اور خوشگوار ماحول فراہم کرنے کے لئے کوشاں ہیں۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے بلدیاتی افسران کے اجلاس کے اختتام پر میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہی، جو عیدالفطر کے انتظامات کے سلسلے میں بلایا گیا تھا۔ انہوں نے ’’کے الیکٹرک‘‘ کے حکام سے درخواست کی ہے کہ عید کے موقع پر لوڈشیڈنگ نہ کی جائے ، وگرنہ امن و امان کی صورتِ حال کے خراب ہونے کا اندیشہ ہے۔جبکہ کراچی واٹر بورڈ کے حکام سے مسلسل رابطے میں تاکہ بلدیہ وسطی کے حکام کو عید کے موقع پر پانی کی قلّت کا سامنا نہ ہو۔ دوسری جانب واٹر اینڈ سیوریج بورڈ سے لیکج واٹر و سیورئج لائنوں کے رساؤ کو عید سے پہلے مرمت کرنے کی درخواست کی گئی اگرچہ بلدیہ وسطی نے دستیاب وسائل میں رہتے ہوئے سیوریج لائنوں کی مرمت کے کام خود بھی کرواچکی ہے ریحان ہاشمی نے بتایا کہ عیدالفطر پر صفائی کا نظام بہتر رکھنے کے لئے سینٹری اسٹاف کی چھٹیاں منسوخ کرکے بلدیہ وسطی میں امیرجنسی نافذ کردی گئی ہے۔ سینی ٹیشن ورکرز کو ہدایت کردی گئی ہیں کہ وہ کسی بھی صورت میں کچرا پھیلنے نہ دیں تاکہ کچرا اُٹھانے والی گاڑیاں مقررہ کچرا کنڈیوں سے بہ آسانی کوڑا اُٹھا کر ڈمپنگ پوائنٹ پر منتقل کرسکیں۔تاہم بلدی وسطی میں تمام مساجد، امام بارگاہوں اور عیدگاہوں کے اطراف اور راستوں پر صفائی کا عمل جاری ہے جبکہ صفائی کرنے کے ساتھ چونے کے چھڑکاؤ کا بھی انتظام کیا گیاہے ۔ ریحان ہاشمی نے کہا کہ ضلع وسطی میں شاپنگ سینٹرز کے اطراف اور مین شاہراؤں پر نائٹ سوئپنگ کا سلسلہ تواتر سے جاری ہے اور رمضان شاپنگ کا کوڑا کرکٹ عید کی صبح ہی اُٹھالیا جائے گا۔

PEOPLE’S GRIEVANCES TO BE ADDRESSED ON TOP PRIORITY: REHAN HASHMI

Chairman DMC Central assures people of removing their problems before Eid

KARACHI: Chairman DMC Central has said that the grievances of the people would be addressed on top priority municipal institutions were established to serve the people. He was talking to the people from different walk of life who had come to his office with their complaints regarding cleanliness and sewerage problems. They told the chairman that heap of garbage and leaked sewerage water was creating problem to the residents of their area in movement, specially the pedestrians. They also complained about the bad conditions of the roads in different UCs.

Rehan Hashmi listened to their complaints with patience and assured that the sanitary department of the DMC Central would be instructed to resolve their problems before Edi ul Fitr.  The sanitary department was working round the clock with man power as well as machinery so as to keep the entire area of the DMC Central clean but the Ramzan Shopping and Aftaar parties had caused new heaps of garbage, which would be removed without delay of time, whereas the choked sewerage lines would also be repaired on the expenses of DMC Central as KWSB had given deaf ear to all complaints about sewerage problems being face by the people; he added.

He further said that the unlawful encroachment had been a threat to the beauty of the city and the Mayor of Karachi had also been requested to direct KMC anti-encroachment department to take immediate steps to remove the encroachment, otherwise DMC Administration would not be able to carry out repair & patch work on the roads.  

Later, Rehan Hashmi instructed the concerned officers to resolve the complaints immediately as the month of Ramazan demands cleanliness more. He also asked his co-ordinators to chalk out a surprise whirl wind tour of the all the UCs of the DMC Central so as to keep a check on cleaning work in his jurisdiction to give people a healthy atmosphere on Eidul Fitr.

کراچی ( ) چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے کہا ہے کہ عوام کے مسائل حل کرنا بلدیہ وسطی کی اوّلین ترجیح ہے کیونکہ بلدیاتی اداروں کے قیام کا مقصد ہی انسانیت کی خدمت ہے ۔ وہ اپنے دفتر میں آنے والے علاقہ مکینوں سے گفتگو کررہے تھے جو اپنے اپنے صفائی، اور سیوریج کے مسائل بارے میں شکایات لے کر چیئرمین کے پاس آئے تھے۔لوگوں نے بتایا کہ اُن کے علاقوں میں بروقت کچرا نہ اٹھنے اور سیوریج لائن سے گندے پانی کے رساؤ نے لوگوں کی آمد ورفت میں مسائل پیداکردئیے ہیں خصوصاً پیدل چلنے والے افراد زیادہ پریشانی کاشکار ہیں۔جبکہ سڑکیں بھی جگہ جگہ سے ٹوٹی ہوئی ہیں۔ریحان ہاشمی نے شکایت کنندگان کے مسائل توجہ سے اوریقین دلایا کہ انکے مسائل عیدالفطر سے قبل حل کردئیے جائیں گے۔انہوں نے بتایا کہ بلدیہ وسطی کا سینٹری ڈپارٹمنٹ افرادی قوت اور مشینری استعمال کرتے ہوئے دن رات صفائی میں مصروف ہے ۔ تاہم رمضان المبارک کی خریدار ی اور افطار پارٹیوں کی وجہ سے کوڑاکرکٹ زیادہ جمع ہورہا ہے، لیکن چاند رات سے قبل بلدیہ وسطی کا علاقہ صاف شفاف بنادیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سیوریج لائن کے مسائل کی بنیادی وجہ کراچی واٹر اینڈ سیوریج بورڈ کی جانب سے لاپرواہی ہے ۔جس کی وجہ سے بلدیہ وسطی اپنے اخراجات پر سیوریج کی ناکارہ اور رسنے والی پائپ لائنوں کی مرمت کرواتی رہی ہے۔ دوسری جانب ناجائز تجاوزات شہر کی خوبصورتی پر بدصورتی کا داغ ہوتے ہیں۔ بلدیہ وسطی نے بارہا مئیر صاحبب کو یاددہانی کرائی ہے کہ وہ بلدیہ عظمیٰ کراچی کے شعبہء انسدادِ ناجائز تجاوزات کو ہدایت کریں کہ بلدیہ وسطی سے ناجائز تجاوزات ختم کرادیں کیونکہ یہ ذمہ داری شہری حکومت کی ہے ۔ لیکن ابھی تک کوئی خاطر خواہ اقدا م نہیں کیا گیا جس کے سبب سڑکوں کی مرمت اور استر کاری نہیں کی جاسکتی۔ بعد ازاں ریحان ہاشمی نے اپنے کوآرڈینیٹر کو ہدایت کی کہ بلدیہ وسطی کی تمام یوسیز کے اچانک دورے کے لئے پروگرام ترتیب دیا جائے تاکہ صفائی کے نظام کو وقتاً فوقتا چیک کیا جاسکے۔اور عیدالفطر پر عوام کو خوشگوار اور صاف و شفاف ماحول مہیا کیا جاسکے۔

KARACHI: The Chairman DMC Central, Rehan Hashmi demands Fazlur Rehman the care taker Chief Minister of Sind to enhance Octroi Zila Tax (OZT) so as to let the DMC perform its duties smoothly. He was talking to the office bearers of different markets situated within his jurisdiction while on visit to see the cleanliness in and around the markets. Chairman further said that DMC Central had been facing paucity of funds , a request had been sent to new care taker chief minister of Sindhm FazlurRehman to enhance Octroi Zila Tax so  that DMC Central could induce its staff to make district central viable.Rehan Hashmi was on visit to various markets; Haydery, Paposhnagar, Karimabad, Gulberg and Liaquatabat, including two furniture markets, to see the cleanliness around and inside the markets so as to take necessary steps to facilitate the people coming there for shopping in a clean atmosphere. He urged them reciprocal cooperation to keep markets and trading areas clean and tidy round the clock during Ramazan Shopping.
While appraising his problems to the traders, Chairman DMC Central demanded from care taker Chief Minister of Sindh to enhance the OZT that had been fixed long ago and had not been revised for about 20 year. He told the traders that cleanliness in their area would attract their customers and for this DMC administration needed their cooperation. He asked them to and places their empty boxes and waste in dustbins or shoppers, outside their shops at the places fixed by the DMC sanitary department. He also appealed to the people coming for shopping to put their waste in dustbins. It will be easy for the sanitary staff to pick them and the area would give a tidy look.The office bearers of the market unions also had some reservations which were heard by the chairman, who ensure them of his best cooperation to resolve them within the legal framework of DMC. Chaiarman also held a meeting with the director parks to ensure cleanliness before Eid ul Fitr to give a confidence to the citizens that DMC central was working for them.Rehan Hashmi appealed to the people coming to the market on their own vehicles to park the vehicle at the
 places fixed for so as to keep the traffic flow smoothly without disturbance.

کراچی ( ) چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے نگراں وزیرِ اعلیٰ سندھ فضل الرحمن سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ گزشتہ 20برسوں سے ایک سطح پر منجمد آکٹرائے ضلعی ٹیک ( OZT) میں خاطر خواہ اضافہ کیا جائے تاکہ بلدیاتی ادارے اپنے فرائض اورعوام کی خدمت صحیح طور پر انجام دے سکیں۔ وہ بلدیہ وسطی کی مختلف مارکیٹوں کے دورے پر تجارتی مراکز کی انجمنوں کے عہدیداروں سے گفتگو کررہے تھے۔انہوں نے بتایاکہ بلدیاتی خدمات میں سب سے بڑی رکاوٹ فندز کی کمی ہے جس کا بڑا سبب یہ ہے کہ گزشتہ بیس برسوں سے حکومتِ سندھ نے ایک مقررہ رقم سے ایک پیسہ بھی نہیں بڑھایا۔ انہوں نے رمضان المبارک کے موقع پر بازاروں اور تجارتی مراکز میں صفائی کا معیار بہتر کی سطح پر رکھنے کے لئے مارکیٹ یونین کے کردار کو اہم قراردیتے ہوئے کہا کہ اگر تمام دکاندار اپنا کوڑا کرکٹ مقررہ مقام پر ڈسٹ بن میں ڈالیں اور گاہکوں کو بھی اس بات کا پابند کریں کہ وہ شاپرز اور دیگر کوڑا ڈسٹ بن میں ڈالیں تو بلدیاتی سینیٹری ورکرز کو کوڑا کرکٹ اُٹھانے میں آسانی ہوگی اور بازاروں میں صفائی نظر آئے گی۔اور صاف ستھرا ماحول زیادہ گاہکوں کو اپنی جانب متوجہ کرے گا۔مارکیٹوں کے اطراف پارکنگ کے حوالے سے انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ اپنے گاڑیاں پارکنگ کے لئے مقررہ مقام پر صحیح طور پر پارک کریں تاکہ ٹریفک کی روانی میں کسی قسم کا خلل نہ پڑے ۔ اس موقع پر تاجروں کی انجمن کے عہدیداروں نے تاجروں کے مسائل سے چیئرمین ریحان ہاشمی کو آگاہ کیا۔ ریحان ہاشمی نے انکے مسائل بغور سُنے اور انکے حل کے لئے ہر ممکن تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔

MECHANISED NIGHT SWEEPING INTRODUCED IN DMC CENTRAL

Chairman DMC Central, Rehan Hashmi has introduced mechanized sweeping in the area of his jurisdiction so as to sweep the roads at night and make them neat and tidy. The chairman himself watched the demonstration of mechanical sweeping here yesterday .The trained operator will operate this sweeping machine .The machine would be used at night so that minimum traffic hindrance could be faced by the citizens. The roads will be washed simultaneously as this machine has build-in shower. Hence, in the morning, citizens would find roads clean. Despite shortage of funds this machine has been purchased and would continue to work .A separate department has been setup for the maintenance of this machine.

کراچی ( ) بلدیہ وسطی صفائی کا معیار قائم رکھنے میں ایک قدم آگے چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے بلدیہ وسطی میں رات کے وقت سڑکوں کی صفائی کے لئے جاروب کش (مکینکل سوئپر)مشین کا استعمال متعارف کرادیا۔ فنڈز کی کمی کے باوجود عوام کی بھلائی کی خاطر یہ مہنگی مشین خریدی گئی ہیں جو خاص طور پر بلدیہ وسطی کی سڑکوں کی صفائی کے معیار کو بلند کرنے کے لئے خصوصی ڈیزائن کروائی گئی ہے جس کو تربیت یافتہ عملہ چلائے گا۔ریحان ہاشمی نے بہ نفسِ نفیس مشین (مکینکل سوئپر) کی کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ دیکھا ۔واضح رہے کہ صفائی ہر دور میں ہر شہر ہرضلع کا مسئلہ رہاہے ۔جبکہ دن اور رات کی صفائی کے کام میں واضح فرق نظر آتاہے۔ افرادی قوت سے کام لیتے ہوئے بلدیاتی ادارے سینکڑوں کی تعداد میں سینٹر ی ورکرز کی خدمات حاصل کرتے ہیں۔جدید دور میں مشین کے ذریعے سڑکوں کی صفائی ایک عام سے بات ہے لیکن ہمارے بلدیاتی ادارے فنڈز کی کمی کے باعث جدید مشنری خریدنے سے قاصر رہتے ہیں جبکہ اس کے استعمال کے لئے خصوصی تربیت یافتہ عملے کی خدمات حاصل کی جاتی ہیں۔چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے عوام کو صاف تر ماحول فراہم کرنے کے لئے مذکورہ مشینیں خریدنے کی ہمت کی ، یہ مشینیں صرف رات کے وقت سڑکوں پر جھاڑو دیں گی تاکہ ٹریفک کی روانی میں خلل کم سے کم ہو ۔ اسطرح عوام کوصبح کے وقت صاف چمکتی ہوئی سڑکیں ملیں گیں۔ اِن مشینوں کی دیکھ بھال اور مینٹی ننس کے لئے الگ شعبہ قائم کردیا گیاہے تاکہ یہ جاروب کش مشینیں (مکینکل سوئپرز)مسلسل فعال رہیں۔
