PEOPLE’S GRIEVANCES TO BE ADDRESSED ON TOP PRIORITY: REHAN HASHMI
Chairman DMC Central assures people
of removing their problems before Eid
KARACHI:
Chairman DMC Central has said that the grievances of the people would be
addressed on top priority municipal institutions were established to serve the
people. He was talking to the people from different walk of life who had come
to his office with their complaints regarding cleanliness and sewerage
problems. They told the chairman that heap of garbage and leaked sewerage water
was creating problem to the residents of their area in movement, specially the
pedestrians. They also complained about the bad conditions of the roads in
different UCs.
Rehan Hashmi
listened to their complaints with patience and assured that the sanitary
department of the DMC Central would be instructed to resolve their problems
before Edi ul Fitr. The sanitary
department was working round the clock with man power as well as machinery so
as to keep the entire area of the DMC Central clean but the Ramzan Shopping and
Aftaar parties had caused new heaps of garbage, which would be removed without
delay of time, whereas the choked sewerage lines would also be repaired on the
expenses of DMC Central as KWSB had given deaf ear to all complaints about
sewerage problems being face by the people; he added.
He further
said that the unlawful encroachment had been a threat to the beauty of the city
and the Mayor of Karachi had also been requested to direct KMC
anti-encroachment department to take immediate steps to remove the encroachment,
otherwise DMC Administration would not be able to carry out repair & patch
work on the roads.

Hashmi instructed the concerned officers to resolve the complaints immediately
as the month of Ramazan demands cleanliness more. He also asked his
co-ordinators to chalk out a surprise whirl wind tour of the all the UCs of the
DMC Central so as to keep a check on cleaning work in his jurisdiction to give
people a healthy atmosphere on Eidul Fitr.
کراچی ( ) چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے کہا ہے کہ عوام کے مسائل حل کرنا بلدیہ وسطی کی اوّلین ترجیح ہے کیونکہ بلدیاتی اداروں کے قیام کا مقصد ہی انسانیت کی خدمت ہے ۔ وہ اپنے دفتر میں آنے والے علاقہ مکینوں سے گفتگو کررہے تھے جو اپنے اپنے صفائی، اور سیوریج کے مسائل بارے میں شکایات لے کر چیئرمین کے پاس آئے تھے۔لوگوں نے بتایا کہ اُن کے علاقوں میں بروقت کچرا نہ اٹھنے اور سیوریج لائن سے گندے پانی کے رساؤ نے لوگوں کی آمد ورفت میں مسائل پیداکردئیے ہیں خصوصاً پیدل چلنے والے افراد زیادہ پریشانی کاشکار ہیں۔جبکہ سڑکیں بھی جگہ جگہ سے ٹوٹی ہوئی ہیں۔ریحان ہاشمی نے شکایت کنندگان کے مسائل توجہ سے اوریقین دلایا کہ انکے مسائل عیدالفطر سے قبل حل کردئیے جائیں گے۔انہوں نے بتایا کہ بلدیہ وسطی کا سینٹری ڈپارٹمنٹ افرادی قوت اور مشینری استعمال کرتے ہوئے دن رات صفائی میں مصروف ہے ۔ تاہم رمضان المبارک کی خریدار ی اور افطار پارٹیوں کی وجہ سے کوڑاکرکٹ زیادہ جمع ہورہا ہے، لیکن چاند رات سے قبل بلدیہ وسطی کا علاقہ صاف شفاف بنادیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سیوریج لائن کے مسائل کی بنیادی وجہ کراچی واٹر اینڈ سیوریج بورڈ کی جانب سے لاپرواہی ہے ۔جس کی وجہ سے بلدیہ وسطی اپنے اخراجات پر سیوریج کی ناکارہ اور رسنے والی پائپ لائنوں کی مرمت کرواتی رہی ہے۔ دوسری جانب ناجائز تجاوزات شہر کی خوبصورتی پر بدصورتی کا داغ ہوتے ہیں۔ بلدیہ وسطی نے بارہا مئیر صاحبب کو یاددہانی کرائی ہے کہ وہ بلدیہ عظمیٰ کراچی کے شعبہء انسدادِ ناجائز تجاوزات کو ہدایت کریں کہ بلدیہ وسطی سے ناجائز تجاوزات ختم کرادیں کیونکہ یہ ذمہ داری شہری حکومت کی ہے ۔ لیکن ابھی تک کوئی خاطر خواہ اقدا م نہیں کیا گیا جس کے سبب سڑکوں کی مرمت اور استر کاری نہیں کی جاسکتی۔ بعد ازاں ریحان ہاشمی نے اپنے کوآرڈینیٹر کو ہدایت کی کہ بلدیہ وسطی کی تمام یوسیز کے اچانک دورے کے لئے پروگرام ترتیب دیا جائے تاکہ صفائی کے نظام کو وقتاً فوقتا چیک کیا جاسکے۔اور عیدالفطر پر عوام کو خوشگوار اور صاف و شفاف ماحول مہیا کیا جاسکے۔
