TRADERS COOPERATION A HELP IN MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS ON EID UL FITR
CHAIRMAN DMC CENTRAL TALKED TO THE OFFICER BEARERS OF MARKET UNIONS

KARACHI: The Chairman DMC Central, Rehan Hashmi demands Fazlur Rehman the care taker Chief Minister of Sind to enhance Octroi Zila Tax (OZT) so as to let the DMC perform its duties smoothly. He was talking to the office bearers of different markets situated within his jurisdiction while on visit to see the cleanliness in and around the markets. Chairman further said that DMC Central had been facing paucity of funds , a request had been sent to new care taker chief minister of Sindhm FazlurRehman to enhance Octroi Zila Tax so that DMC Central could induce its staff to make district central viable.Rehan Hashmi was on visit to various markets; Haydery, Paposhnagar, Karimabad, Gulberg and Liaquatabat, including two furniture markets, to see the cleanliness around and inside the markets so as to take necessary steps to facilitate the people coming there for shopping in a clean atmosphere. He urged them reciprocal cooperation to keep markets and trading areas clean and tidy round the clock during Ramazan Shopping.
While appraising his problems to the traders, Chairman DMC Central demanded from care taker Chief Minister of Sindh to enhance the OZT that had been fixed long ago and had not been revised for about 20 year. He told the traders that cleanliness in their area would attract their customers and for this DMC administration needed their cooperation. He asked them to and places their empty boxes and waste in dustbins or shoppers, outside their shops at the places fixed by the DMC sanitary department. He also appealed to the people coming for shopping to put their waste in dustbins. It will be easy for the sanitary staff to pick them and the area would give a tidy look.The office bearers of the market unions also had some reservations which were heard by the chairman, who ensure them of his best cooperation to resolve them within the legal framework of DMC. Chaiarman also held a meeting with the director parks to ensure cleanliness before Eid ul Fitr to give a confidence to the citizens that DMC central was working for them.Rehan Hashmi appealed to the people coming to the market on their own vehicles to park the vehicle at the
places fixed for so as to keep the traffic flow smoothly without disturbance.
کراچی ( ) چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی ریحان ہاشمی نے نگراں وزیرِ اعلیٰ سندھ فضل الرحمن سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ گزشتہ 20برسوں سے ایک سطح پر منجمد آکٹرائے ضلعی ٹیک ( OZT) میں خاطر خواہ اضافہ کیا جائے تاکہ بلدیاتی ادارے اپنے فرائض اورعوام کی خدمت صحیح طور پر انجام دے سکیں۔ وہ بلدیہ وسطی کی مختلف مارکیٹوں کے دورے پر تجارتی مراکز کی انجمنوں کے عہدیداروں سے گفتگو کررہے تھے۔انہوں نے بتایاکہ بلدیاتی خدمات میں سب سے بڑی رکاوٹ فندز کی کمی ہے جس کا بڑا سبب یہ ہے کہ گزشتہ بیس برسوں سے حکومتِ سندھ نے ایک مقررہ رقم سے ایک پیسہ بھی نہیں بڑھایا۔ انہوں نے رمضان المبارک کے موقع پر بازاروں اور تجارتی مراکز میں صفائی کا معیار بہتر کی سطح پر رکھنے کے لئے مارکیٹ یونین کے کردار کو اہم قراردیتے ہوئے کہا کہ اگر تمام دکاندار اپنا کوڑا کرکٹ مقررہ مقام پر ڈسٹ بن میں ڈالیں اور گاہکوں کو بھی اس بات کا پابند کریں کہ وہ شاپرز اور دیگر کوڑا ڈسٹ بن میں ڈالیں تو بلدیاتی سینیٹری ورکرز کو کوڑا کرکٹ اُٹھانے میں آسانی ہوگی اور بازاروں میں صفائی نظر آئے گی۔اور صاف ستھرا ماحول زیادہ گاہکوں کو اپنی جانب متوجہ کرے گا۔مارکیٹوں کے اطراف پارکنگ کے حوالے سے انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ اپنے گاڑیاں پارکنگ کے لئے مقررہ مقام پر صحیح طور پر پارک کریں تاکہ ٹریفک کی روانی میں کسی قسم کا خلل نہ پڑے ۔ اس موقع پر تاجروں کی انجمن کے عہدیداروں نے تاجروں کے مسائل سے چیئرمین ریحان ہاشمی کو آگاہ کیا۔ ریحان ہاشمی نے انکے مسائل بغور سُنے اور انکے حل کے لئے ہر ممکن تعاون کا یقین دلایا۔
