Taking care of
orphan children the best practice on every Eid: Rehan Hashim, Chairman

Karachi, June18: Chairman District Municipal Corporation
(DMC) Central Rehan Hashmi has said that showing care, affection towards orphan
children and fulfillment of their needs are the best practices to be observed
by the faithful on the occasion of every Eid.
The DMC Central chairman stated this while addressing a colorful
ceremony held in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area to celebrate Chand Raat with Orphan
Children. We Care Foundation organized the ceremony, which was participated by
200 orphan children lodged at different foster care centers being managed by
different non-governmental organizations in the city. Prominent citizens,
representatives of media and NGOs, and eminent people from different walks of
life also attended the ceremony.
On the occasion, Director of WCF Zafar Saleem announced to
build a modern foster care, residential and education centre for orphan
children in Orangi Town area of the city.
The children who attended the ceremony were entertained
through different segments of the programme including puppet show, magical
show, singing competition, and distribution of special Eid gifts among them.
The participating children were also served with Eid feast especially prepared
for them on the occasion.
Mr. Rehan Hashmi on the occasion announced that the DMC
Central would hold different sporting competitions for the orphan children on the
occasion of Eidul Fitr. He also distributed Eid gifts among the participating
children.
Other prominent speakers of the programme appealed to masses
to provide wholehearted support and financial assistance to build the planned
modern foster care centre for orphan children in Surjani Town area. The hosts
of the ceremony also especially thanked President National Forum for
Environment and Health, Naeem Qureshi for being present on the occasion.
Also present on the occasion were Secretary of Sindh Boy
Scouts’ Association Akhtar Mir, Farhana Arshad of Rotary Club, Shazia Alam,
Hameed Aslam, Sharmeen Shafique, Sonia Akhund, former MNA Muzammil Qureshi, and
others.
کراچی ( ) عید پر یتیم بچوں سے محبت و شفقت اور انہیں خوش رکھنا قابل ستائش کام اور بہترین عمل ھے یہ بات چیئرمین بلدیہ وسطی محمد ریحان ہاشمی نے گزشتہ رات وی کیر فاونڈیشن کے تحت یتیم بچوں کے ساتھ چاند رات پر ایک رنگارنگ تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا, اس تقریب میں دو سو سے زائد مختلف مراکز کے یتیم بچوں, این جی اوز, شہریوں اور ذرائع ابلاغ کے نمائندوں نے شرکت کی, اس موقع پر فاونڈیشن کے ڈائریکٹر ظفر سلیم اور دیگر عہدیدار،نیشنل فورم فار انوائرانمنٹ اینڈ ھیلتھ کے صدر محمد نعیم قریشی, سندھ بوائے اسکاوٹ ایسوسی ایشن کی سیکرٹری اختر میر, پی پی ایف کے صدر حسین تھیبو, ارش میڈیا کی صدر صابی ارشد, روٹری کلب کی فرحانہ ارشد, شازیہ عالم, حمید اسلم, شرمین شفیق, سونیا آخوند, سابق ایم این اے مزمل قریشی اور دیگر نے شرکت کی۔اس موقع پرریحان ہاشمی نے بچوں سے اظہارِ شفقت اور محبت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یتیموں اور بے سہارا بچوں کا سہارا بننا عین انسانیت ہے۔ جو لوگ بے سہاروں کا سہارا بنتے ہیں اللہ تعالیٰ اُن کے لئے سہارا بنتاہے۔ ریحان ہاشمی نے بچوں کو تحائف پیش کئے اور ’’ دی کیئر فاؤنڈیشن ‘‘ کی جانب سے نیک کام کرنے کے لئے کی جانے والی کوششوں کو سراہا ۔ ریحان ہاشمی نے یتیم بچوں کے لیے بلدیہ ضلع وسطی کی جانب سے کھیل کے مختلف مقابلے منعقد کرانے کا اعلان کیا اور بچوں میں عید کے تحائف تقسیم کیے۔انہوں نے یتیم بچوں کے مرکز کے لیے بھرپور تعاون کی اپیل کی اور تقریب میں شرکت اور تعاون پر نیشنل فورم فار انوائرانمنٹ کے صدر نعیم قریشی اور تمام شخصیات کا شکریہ ادا کیااس موقع پر وی سی ایف کی ڈائریکٹر ظفر سلیم نے یتیم بچوں کے لئے سرجانی ٹاون میں ایک جدید رہائشی اور تعلیمی مرکز بنانے کا اعلان کیا۔اس تقریب میں بچوں کی تفریح کے لئے پتلی تماشا, میجک شو اور نغمات کا اہتمام کیا گیا اور عید کے تحائف پیش کیے گئے اور بچوں کے اعزاز میں عشائیہ دیا گیا ۔تقریب کا انعقاد حکیم سعید گراؤنڈ گلشنِ اقبال میں کیا گیا تھا۔
