REHAN HASHMI TAKES MULTIPLE CHALLENGES
ROAD
CLEANING CAMPAIGN STATRE, WHILE NAALA CLEANING ALREADY CONTINUED
140 LIGHT
AND HEAVY VEHICLES AND 1500 MEN BEING USED TO MAKE IT SUCCESS

Hashmi has taken multiple challenges while he started another cleaning campaign
for roads and streets simultaneously with the ongoing cleaning of storm water
drains, yesterday here. It is just because he wants the residents of the DMC
Central could take breath in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Rehan Hashmi,
along with chairman sanitation committee, Director Sanitation Nadeem Haider,
deputy director sanitation (New Karachi) Aslam Baing and other municipal
officers is monitoring the cleaning campaign. At least 1500 sanitary workers
and 140 light and heavy vehicles are being used in this cleaning
campaign and will facilitate the citizens to ensure an healthy atmosphere. In
the first phase main roads are being cleaned and in the next phase the streets
will be taken over in this campaign. Chairman, Rehan Hashmi, said that the
elected members were the main persons who could resolve the problems of the
citizens as well as provide them basic civic facilities.
He said cooperation of the people will make all campaigns successful and this was the motto of the cleaning campaign. He also underlined that central was trying to implement orders of high court water commission but KWSB and SBCA should comply their orders. Chairman said anti-encroachments was the domain of KMC and Mayor should issue orders to their staff to deploy the staff remove encroachment. Hashmi said, no doubt encroachments was a big issue in Karachi and Chief Justice of Pakistan has also taken a serious notice and issued orders for the removal of encroachments from the city .Chairman sai00d operation against encroachments is an uphill task but will ensure that task is completed successfully. Mayor Karachi has assured that machinery and staff would be provided to remove this nuisance which has made problems for the area people.

کراچی ( ) بلدیہ وسطی میں ابھی نالہ صفائی کے لئے خصوصی مہم جاری تھی کہ تمام چاروں زونز ، نارتھ کراچی، نارتھ ناظم آباد، لیاقت آباد اور گلبرگ میں ایک ساتھ نئی صفائی مہم کا آغاز کردیا گیاتاکہ باشندگانِ بلدیہ وسطی صاف ستھرے اور خوشگوار ماحول میں سانس لے سکیں۔ صفائی مہم کے دوران تقریبا 1500سینٹری ورکرز کے علاوہ لائٹ اور ہیوی مشنریز بھی استعمال میں لائی جارہی ہے ۔جبکہ سڑکو ں کے کناروں اور فٹ پاتھوں پر چوناکاری اور چونے کا چھڑکاؤ بھی کیا جارہا ہے ۔بے ترتیبی سے بڑھ جانے والی درختوں کی شاخیں جو ٹریفک اور عوام کی آمدورفت میں رکاوٹ کا سبب بن رہی ہیں کاٹی جارہی ہیں۔صفائی کا آغاز ناگن چورنگی کی مین سڑک کی صفائی سے کیا گیا۔جبکہ چیئرمین سینی ٹیشن کمیٹی ارشد علی، ڈاریکٹر سینی ٹیشن ندیم حیدر ، ڈپٹی ڈاریکٹر سینی ٹیشن نیو کراچی اسلم بیگ اور دیگر بلدیاتی افسران صفائی مہم کو مانیٹر کررہے ہیں اس وقت ریحان ہاشمی کی ساری توجہ بلدیہ وسطی کے زیرِ اثر رہائشی اور تجارتی علاقوں کو کچرے کے ڈھیروں سے پاک کرکے صفا ئی کا بہتر نمونہ بناناہے۔اُن کے مطابق صرف منتخب نمائندیہی عوام کی بلدیاتی پریشانیوں کو محسو س کرسکتے ہیں اور ان کا بہتر حل تلاش کرسکتے ہیں۔اس سلسلے میں ہر وہ طریقہ استعمال کرنے کے لئے تیار ہیں جو انکے ضلع کو صاف و شفاف نظر آئے۔ اسی لئے سال بھر وقفے وقفے سے صفائی مہم کا احیاء کیا جاتاہے ۔ اب جو صفائی مہم شروع کی گئی ہے اس میں گزشتہ کی گئی تمام صفائی مہموں کی کمی کا ازالہ کیا جائے گا۔ تاہم صفائی مہم کے ساتھ ساتھ شجرکاری مہم بھی جاری رہے گی تاکہ ضلع وسطی کی ہریالی میں اضافہ کیا جاسکے۔ریحان ہاشمی نے میڈیا کو بتایا کہ بلدیہ وسطی ہائی کورٹ واٹر کمیشن کے احکام پر عملدرآمد کرنا چاہتی ہے لیکن کراچی واٹر اینڈ سیوریج بورڈکا رویّہ عدالت کے احکام کی بجاآوری میں رکاوٹ بن رہاہے۔
